Your insights
You guys, thank you so much for the insights. It sure is mental. Isn’t it amazing that things like diet pills can trick our brains into not sending the hungry signal to whatever it is that makes us hungry?
I had a nice day today. Drove a pediatric infectious disease specialist around. What a sweetie. I learned that we should all positively get flu shots and shingles shots.
My pants seem bigger. I still haven’t gotten the ones I wear at work taken in. I have black suits I wear, lightweight wool. I think I like how it feels to have to keep pulling them up. I like looking in the mirror and seeing how floppy the legs are at the thighs. I do feel better.
I think this running and walking is really doing the trick. I think it is why we all are doing so well. It’s amazing. Whoulda thunk it? That walking could melt pounds away? With all the exercising we had been doing not doing anything, that it was just plain walking that would do it.
By the way, I have not been drinking. I miss my wine, but I think it makes me eat too much ![]()
Maybe you could save your wine for a special weekend treat with dinner? That way you wouldn’t have to give it up completely!! Moderation not deprivation!!
Hahahaha
That reminds me. What’s a Jewish girl’s favorite wine?
I WANNA GO TO MIAMI!!!!!!!!!!!
But seriously, you probably are right, Beebee. I’m thinking I may be mildly addicted to wine. I go in phases with it though. Sometimes I can open a bottle and it’s still there after a week. But lately I have been drinking a bottle every couple of days. I have been really craving that drink when I get home. And it’s almost habit lately to have a glass of wine while I cook dinner, especially if I am making something really creative. I’m thinking it’s better for me to go cold turkey on the wine, just for now. But maybe I will lighten up on the weekends!
Jas, I find that if I drink, I definitely stall my weight loss. I was talking to my trainer about this the other day - she like you enjoys her wine - but she’s on this focused eating plan right now to get ready for an upcoming vacation, which we all believe will be an engagement trip as well. Anyway, she’s focused. And she’s getting advice from another training who has done those fitness model type things… those competitions? Anyway, Michelle told Claire that if she drinks, she has to burn an additional 1000 calories the day before and the day after. That has been motivation enough for Claire to put down the wine. Just thought you’d like it too.

Jas, you definitely crave some relaxation after a long work day where you have to perform and do your best and put a mask on for the clients. Drinking can become a habitual way of relaxation. What else can you do to unwind? Music, reading, meditation, funny jokes, blogging? Try to brainstorm or think back when you used some other healthy ways to relax when you were stressed out.
And good job with running! My weight loss is not happening for some reason… but I am not giving up.
I am back from Hawaii… Seattle is cold and rainy.

Did I tell you I miss your blogging Ms.Running away?
Thank you for your sweet booster. Life is difficult for a booted person. But I will go on and join you in exercise routine soon.
Hugs,
